Tattoo Booking & Appointment Information
Before You Book
This page explains how Alex works, what to expect from the booking process, and what working together typically looks like — from the first request to the finished tattoo. It outlines how projects are approached, how sessions are planned, and what’s expected on both sides, answering nearly all common questions so you can feel confident before submitting a booking request.
If you’ve reviewed this page and still have questions, feel free to reach out using the button below.
How Do I Book a Tattoo Session?
All tattoo sessions start at 11:00 AM and are available on both weekdays and weekends.

Please fill out the booking form below with as much detail as possible.
Include a description of your idea, references, size, placement, and preferred dates.
Once submitted, you’ll receive a reply by email. Responses are usually sent within 24 hours.
How Much Does a Tattoo Cost?
For larger projects, full-day sessions (7 hours) are $300/hour ($2,100 in California) and are typically enough for a forearm tattoo with moderate detail.

Hourly sessions are $400/hour (up to 4 hours) and work best for smaller tattoos.

Alex offers one complimentary touch-up within the first month for tattoos he completes. After that, touch-ups are $400/hour. For clients traveling from out of town, small touch-ups can often be scheduled during a return visit.
What Is the Deposit Policy?
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required for each tattoo day to secure your booking and is applied toward the final price of the session, or the last session for multi-session projects.

You may reschedule once with at least 7 days’ notice without losing your deposit.
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 7 days’ notice will result in the deposit being forfeited. If the appointment is rescheduled more than once, a new deposit equal to 100% of the session price will be required to book again.
What Payment Methods Are Accepted?
Cash, Zelle, and Venmo are accepted for tattoo sessions.
Credit card payments are also available; a $10 processing fee will be added to all credit card transactions.

Klarna may be available upon request. If you’re interested in using Klarna, please mention this in your booking request so it can be discussed in advance.
What Are Typical Session Estimates?
Below are general time estimates for larger tattoo projects, based on placement and size:
Forearm (one side) — 1–2 sessions (7–14 hours)
Upper arm or Lower leg (one side) — 2 sessions (14–16 hours)
Full arm sleeve — 7–9 sessions (49–63 hours)
Full leg sleeve — 10–15 sessions (70–105 hours)
Full back piece — 7–10 sessions (70–105 hours)

These numbers are meant as a general guideline. The exact number of sessions may vary depending on the design, level of detail, placement, and individual skin response.
How Should Sessions Be Spaced?
Two-day sessions may be arranged for larger projects. The recommended break between sessions is 2–3 weeks minimum, and up to 4 months maximum for multi-session projects. Longer gaps may cause healed areas to differ in tone or contrast compared to newer work, affecting the overall consistency of the tattoo.

Please note that if pricing changes, the previous rate cannot be guaranteed if the break between sessions exceeds 4 months.
What References Work Best?
You’re welcome to send any images that help explain your idea — photos, artworks, sketches, tattoos by other artists, or visual inspiration you’ve found online. If needed, suggestions may be offered to improve clarity or execution.
For portrait tattoos (people or pets), please provide high-quality, well-lit photos that are not cropped. Clear, natural images help achieve the best possible likeness.
How Does the Design Process Work?
Each tattoo is a custom, one-of-a-kind design created using your references and digital tools like Procreate or Photoshop. Design work begins 1–2 days before your appointment and is presented on the day of your session.
The clearer your vision, the more accurate the final result. Minor adjustments can be made during the appointment. Larger revisions may require additional design time, are charged at $400/hour, and may require rescheduling.
Are Cover-Up Tattoos Available?
Yes, cover-up tattoos are possible, but they often require additional time or multiple sessions. In some cases, laser removal may be recommended beforehand.
Cover-ups need to be larger and darker than the existing tattoo in order to achieve a clean result. Certain themes tend to work especially well, such as cosmic elements or skull-based designs.

If a concept is unlikely to produce a strong, long-lasting result or doesn’t align with artistic standards, the request may be respectfully declined.
Can I Use Numbing Cream?
Numbing creams are not used and should not be applied before the session. They can negatively affect the skin — especially for color tattoos — and interfere with both the tattooing process and healing. It’s important for your body to properly feel and respond during the process to protect the skin and achieve the best result.
During the session, a light topical spray is used throughout the process to help keep you comfortable without compromising the skin or healing.
How Should I Prepare for My Tattoo Session?
Please protect the tattoo area from sun exposure and avoid tanning before your appointment. If you’ll be outdoors, use SPF 50. Keeping the skin moisturized in the weeks leading up to your session is also recommended.

Do not shave the area — this will be done on the day of your appointment. Waxing or sugaring 2–3 days prior is fine. Avoid alcohol 1–2 days before your session to reduce bleeding. If you have any medical conditions or take medication, please consult your doctor in advance.

On the day of your session, get good rest, eat a solid meal, and bring snacks with sugar to help maintain energy levels. During the session, there will be a lunch break as well as a few short breaks for snacks and stretching. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that can get stained. If the tattoo is on a leg, slippers are recommended.

An aftercare kit will be provided, including healing cream and a protective pad. Please have adhesive tape available at home to help secure the pad during healing.
